• What is StarID?
  • The StarID is a unique username that replaces many login ID’s with one login ID and one password, everywhere. Once activated, you can use your StarID anywhere that accepts StarID.
  • You only need one StarID, which you can use at any Minnesota State institution.
  • StarID’s are created when a student is accepted to a Minnesota State institution.
  • The StarID is a combination of letters and numbers.
    • Ex: ab1234cd

• How do I manage my StarID?
  • From the Self-Service site: starid.minnstate.edu

• Select desired StarID option for instructions:
  • Reset my Password, click here.
  • Activate my StarID, click here.
  • What is my StarID, click here.
  • Sign in to Profile, to:
    • Change your password, click here.
    • View/Change your O365 Contact Card, click here.
    • View/Change your StarID Notification Email

• What is a TechID?
  • The TechID is also known as your Student or College ID.
  • The Tech ID is an 8 digit number assigned to each student and is unique for each Minnesota State institution.
    
• Where do I use the TechID?
  • A TechID is used for authentication for your student records.
  • A TechID is used for student verification in the Library and Bookstore.
  • A TechID can also be used for StarID password resets.
    
• How can I find my TechID?
  • Your TechID can be found listed on your student ID badge.
  • TechID can also be found by logging into e-Services.
    • Anokatech.edu > e-Services > login with StarID and StarID password. At the top right of the e-Services page it will show your TechID.
