Overview
Any web links you’ve created for shared files will change. Files stored in SharePoint will be moved automatically during the transition.

Before Transition
Stop making changes to your SharePoint files beginning Friday, June 7, 2019 at 6:00 PM. SharePoint files will be copied and any changes you make to files during this time will not be replicated to your new account once that process begins.

During Transition
If you want to edit a file during the transition, download the file to your laptop or desktop and edit that local copy.

After Transition
Upload any files you changed locally through your new Office 365 account.

Teams

Conversations (within Teams and Channels) will not be migrated to the new tenant.  You can download these and store them locally.  You cannot reapply or copy them back once the migration is complete.|

Files and Channels within Teams will be automatically migrated to the tenant.  Files stored within your Team OneDrive/Sharepoint (found under the “Files” tab) and your OneNote notebooks (under the Staff Notes and Notes tabs ) will be moved over automatically.

Custom tabs you may have created for the Team site will need to be recreated in the new Team.  All Teams for Anoka-Ramsey Community College will begin with “ARCC-“.  Anoka Technical College will begin with “ANOKT-“ after the transition.

Notables:

• Team members and permissions/role information will transition over with the Team.
• Web links to shared documents will need to be created from your new Office 365 account.
• Channels you have set up will be moved over automatically in the transition.
